Thirty-eight new lives just added to the DIB online

Thirty-eight new lives were added to the Dictionary of Irish Biography online in June 2018, our seventeenth online update.

Fashion designer Neillí Mulcahy (1925–2012), newspaper editor Aengus Fanning (1944–2012), trade unionist Sheila Conroy (1918–2012), comedian Hal Roach (1927–2012) and politician William Craig (1924–2011) all feature in the last update to the Dictionary of Irish Biography online.

Read about the politician, attorney general and judge Declan Costello (1926–2011), artist Louis Le Brocquy (1916–2012) and Australian rules footballer and youth worker Jim Stynes (1966–2012).

Sportswriter Con Houlihan (1925–2012), folk musician Barney McKenna (1939 2012), priest and broadcaster Des Forristal (1930–2012), comedian Frank Carson (1926–2012) and archaeologist Etienne Rynne (1932–2012) join republican, Stormont MP and Irish senator Liam Kelly (1922–2011).

This update of of thirty-eight lives can be found at dib.cambridge.org, and brings the total number of lives in the Dictionary to 10,461.
