Archaeology Research Grants

The Royal Irish Academy runs an annual Archaeology Research Grants Scheme in partnership with the National Monuments Service (Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht). This scheme funds projects that provide a significant and original contribution to archaeological knowledge. The intention of these grants is to fund research focusing on an innovative and stand-alone research question with a stand-alone research answer.

The Archaeology Research Grants scheme 2019 closed on 22nd March 2019. The 2020 scheme will open in Spring 2020.
