THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

The Digital Repository of Ireland is delighted to invite you to register for a hybrid event in June 2022, with the theme of 'Digital Preservation of Religious Collections: Conversations and Collaborations'.

This hybrid conference is part of our biennial ‘Digital Preservation for the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities’ (DPASSH) series. The event this year will combine online practical workshops on 27 June with a hybrid-format conference on 29 and 30 June.

Workshop topics will include: digitisation; collection appraisal; copyright and licensing; and a case study of converting the analogue to digital as part of a research project.

The keynote speakers for the conference will be: Professor John McCafferty (University College Dublin); Professor Fallou Ngom (Boston University); and Dr Niamh Nicghabhann (University of Limerick), each representing a different area of expertise and knowledge relating to the topic of the conference.

The full programme for the workshops and conference can be viewed on the DPASSH website.
