The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Assistant Professor and Ad Astra Fellow UCD

Stefan Müller is an Assistant Professor and Ad Astra Fellow in the School of Politics and International Relations at University College Dublin. Stefan’s research focuses on political representation, party competition, political communication, and public opinion. Currently, he leads a funded research project on energy policy from a comparative perspective and a project on quality indicators of peer review reports. Stefan is a co-author of the quanteda R package for quantitative text analysis and maintainer of the Irish Polling Indicator.
