Online and Digital EditorDictionary of Irish Biography
Turlough O’Riordan is online and digital editor for the Dictionary of Irish Biography. He has worked for the DIB for over two decades, and is the author of numerous entries, particularly in the areas of architecture, medicine, religion, print culture and publishing, science, and sport; he also focuses on Irish figures with distinct overseas careers. After taking a BA in history and politics, he completed an MA in early modern history (University College Dublin), an MPhil in European studies (University of Cambridge), and an MSc in computer science (Dublin Institute of Technology). Interested in the evolution of the digital humanities, especially with regard to name authority services and onomastics, he occasionally reviews resources and publications for journals.
