Protection of Marine Environments - Call for Experts
02 June 2020A new project being led by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology will develop a statement on the protection of marine environments.
The InterAcademy partnership (IAP) are seeking experts to serve on the Working Group tasked with developing a statement on the Protection of Marine Environments to be led by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST). By developing a statement on the Protection of Marine Environments, the IAP will play a central role in advocacy and research worldwide in order to promote greater implementation of effective, affordable, and sustainable programmes on this issue globally.
As member of the IAP, the Royal Irish Academy is eligible to nominate one expert to the Working Group whose job it will be to review the current version, perhaps adding/requesting additional references, including to relevant work in the subject area completed by other academies, and to ensure that the scope of the Statement is relevant internationally. This should take no more than 1 month and may require 2 or 3 cycles of inputs as the lead academy adapts the draft. The Working Group will work electronically and the names of all members will appear on the final version of the document.

- a short CV, a biosketch (max 500 words),
- details about your academic/professional specialisaton,
- and a statement outlining your suitability for this project (max 250 words).
