THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Join the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) in Academy House for Culture Night 2022 to explore Ireland's rich digital cultural heritage!

The Digital Repository of Ireland will be highlighting two collections in particular - the Archiving Reproductive Health project collection, which provides long-term preservation and access to at-risk material generated by grassroots women’s reproductive health movements, and the Transport Infrastructure Ireland's Digital Heritage Collections of archaeological reports. Staff from the Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and the Archiving Reproductive Health project team will be on hand in Academy House to guide members of the public through the digital collections, including archaeological reports, and sociological data. Other DRI staff members will be present to provide an overview of the Repository and its other collections.
