We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Registration is open for the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Symposium 2023.

The EOSC Symposium 2023 programme is now online (https://symposium23.eoscfuture.eu/programme/). This year’s event, taking place in Madrid, from 20-22 September, will delve into the latest technical evolution of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), monitoring and engaging with the EOSC at the country level, the European Data Landscape, and much more. Registrants can opt to participate virtually or in-person in Madrid.

The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) has been involved with the EOSC Future project since 2022, working with the Research Data Alliance to build awareness among disciplinary researchers of the value of EOSC. Learn more on the RDA project page (https://dri.ie/research-data-alliance/).
