Felicity Maxwell obtained her PhD in English Language from the University of Glasgow in 2014. Since then, she has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at NUI Galway, first on the European Research Council-funded project RECIRC: The Reception and Circulation of Early Modern Women's Writing, 1550-1700, and then as an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellow. Her specialism is early modern women's and servants' letters, and her research combines methods of analysis from literature, social history, theology, and digital humanities. Since June 2019 she has worked as a postdoctoral intern in the IRC, supporting its communications and partnership programmes including Research for Public Policy. She will soon take up a position in the Higher Education Authority.
