THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Calling all journal editors and publishers!

Publish OA, co-led by the Royal Irish Academy and Trinity College Dublin, is a project funded by the National Open Research Forum. The project’s overall aim is to evaluate the feasibility of establishing a publishing platform for diamond open access journals and books in Ireland.

We are holding a World Café event for journal publishers on 9 November between 2 and 4.30 pm at the Neil theatre in the Trinity Long Room Hub.

The aim of the event is to build on the response to the project's Survey of Irish publishers providing information on topics of interest such as funding models currently used for OA, through short presentations and activities. This is your opportunity to receive some support and share your views. We look forward to meeting you!
