The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

DRI contributes to EU Commission FAIR data report

DRI contributes to report 'Turning FAIR into Reality' published by the EU Commission Expert Group on FAIR Data.

The Digital Repository of Ireland played a part in the report 'Turning FAIR into Reality' published by the EU Commission Expert Group on FAIR (Findable. Accessible, Interoperable and Re-usable) Data. The report, 'Turning FAIR into Reality', provides a comprehensive overview of the principles of FAIR, as well as the elements required to implement FAIR data. The Expert Group includes DRI Director Natalie Harrower, and DRI are pleased to announce the publication of the report and encourage the implementation of its recommendations. 

The implementation of FAIR will be supported through the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Read more about the recent launch of EOSC in Vienna at https://www.dri.ie/eosc-launch-vienna
