THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

DRI Community Archives Membership Scheme

23 November 2018

Applications are invited for the first DRI Community Archives Membership Scheme.

The Digital Repository of Ireland launched a paid membership model in February 2018. In that time several organisations have joined as Full or Associate members. As a largely public-funded repository we believe it is important to make long-term preservation of digital materials open to a wide range of organisations, including those operating on a non-funded, voluntary basis. To the end, we are launching a Community Archives Membership Scheme. One organisation will be granted a year’s free membership for the year 2019 under this Scheme.
