The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

TII's Digital Heritage Collection Aggregated to Europeana

This material provides a rich resource on Ireland’s environment and archaeological heritage for researchers and the public, which is now easily accessible through Europeana, the DRI’s repository, data.gov.ie and Heritage Maps.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland's (TII) Digital Heritage Collections have been added to Europeana. They include over 1,500 archaeological excavation reports, 90 papers from the National Roads Agency’s seminar proceedings, as well as audiobooks and videos.
