The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

The Royal Irish Academy-Royal Society International Exchange Cost Share Programme

The Royal Irish Academy - Royal Society International Exchange Cost Share Programme supports international collaboration by funding the costs of research for a project with teams based in both RoI and the United Kingdom in the area of the natural sciences.

The 2019 scheme opened on 25th January and closed on Wednesday 13th March 2019 at 17:00. Decisions were finalised and communicated at the end of July.
