These are proceedings of a biology seminar on the badger, Ireland’s largest extant carnivore. The seminar was held in 1991 and before this scant scientific research on the biology of this animal had been published in Ireland. This brings together the work of groups then carrying out research on the badger. It identifies where further information is required and encourages discussion and collaboration between interested partners. Some of the reports concern work in progress.
